Who is Myles Jack?

If you don’t know who Myles Jack is, now you do. Last night the UCLA true freshman linebacker scored 4 touchdowns in the Bruins 41-31 win over Washington. Four TD’s for a linebacker would have to be some kind of record, but Jack didn’t do it on defense….he did it running the ball. 60 yards rushing and 4 TD’s….and 5 tackles on defense. Last week coach Mora put Jack in the backfield when the Bruins top 3 running backs were all sidelined with injuries. He ran for 120 yards and a TD while recording 8 tackles and a fumble recovery.

Word is his teammates call him Boobie Miles, the dude from Friday Night Lights. Bottom line, this dude can flat out play ball. Myles was a standout RB in high school but chose to play D when he got to UCLA. Regardless of which side of the ball he’s on, Myles is the one delivering the blows. Just ask the Huskies, who Jack ran over last night, carrying several defenders into the end zone on two of his TD’s. Whether he can go both ways on a consistent basis is yet to be seen, but right now it’s awesome to watch since no one goes both ways anymore. So if you didn’t know, now you know.  This guy is good.
